Toren is an action-adventure video game created by Brazilian developer Swordtales. It’s inspired by games such as Ico, Shadow of the Colossus or The Legend of Zelda. The story is full of symbolism and mysticism but has problematic controls, camera angles and bugs – you can see what the developers were trying to achieve from time to time but sadly the game rarely feels like what it could have been. Nevertheless Toren has some beautiful moments with Moonchild, a girl born in a magic tower, and who has the goal to reach the top of it to defeat a dragon that lives there.
